Ramin Atash is an Afghan-born singer and civil engineer, renowned for his contributions to Afghan music and his professional achievements in engineering.
Early Life and Education
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Atash lived there until 1990, when his family relocated to Germany. In Germany, he pursued his education, attending secondary school followed by technical secondary school, where he earned his vocational baccalaureate diploma. He then enrolled at the University of Kassel, graduating in 2002 with a degree in civil engineering.
Engineering Career
After completing his studies, Atash worked at an engineering company in Kassel from 2002 to 2006. In October 2006, he transitioned to a position in Cologne.
Musical Career
Atash’s passion for music began in his youth; by the age of 10, he was proficient in playing the harmonium, performing live with Wahid Sabiri’s music band in Kabul. Despite his academic and professional commitments in Germany, he continued to engage with music, performing at family and friends‘ gatherings. Encouraged by his father’s support and growing demand, he began singing at weddings in 2005.
